~ June Dale~

Thirty years ago, June Dale became the director of Toronto's North Metro Chorus and together they began a journey...in search of a dream.

June's Silver Anniversary as Director proved to be Golden indeed as the dream was realized on October 5, 1996 in Fort Lauderdale when she led the chorus to an unprecedented First Place finish for Canada in the prestigious Sweet Adelines International Competition. In September 1999, she once again led North Metro to gold medals in Atlanta, Georgia in the 2000 Sweet Adelines competition and for the third time in Nashville, Tennessee! A Master Director, Coach, Musical Arranger and Quartet Medalist, June really has 'done it all'.

June has recently reached her 30 year anniversary with the North Metro Chorus and they are justifiably proud to have her as their leader, mentor and friend.

June helped immensely in our journey to regional championship and along the way we have endeared her to the Pittsburgh area (even turned her into a Steelers' fan, eh?).

~ Joe Connelly~

Joe Connelly is a proud member of The Chorus of the Chesapeake and the Easton Chapter, and surely of many others we don’t know about yet. Joe is also a “barbershop brat” and one of his endeavors is still happily singing with his dad in “Way Back When” from the Dixie District. After cutting his teeth while listening to his dad sing baritone in the multi-time medalist quartet the “Roaring 20’s”, little Joe Joe soon began his now famous career. By the way, Joe did make it to his senior prom and has the pictures to prove it.

Joe coaches quartets and choruses all over the globe, trying to hone his skills. Who said it can’t be done?  Joe has sung in many quartets, most notably the Interstate Rivals - 1987 International Champions, Keepsake - International Champs in 1992, and Platinum - International Champs in 2000. That’s right a three-time quartet International gold medalist.

Joe lives in his home town of Cincinnati, Ohio. Although he is unmarried, Joe had to turn down all bids for him to appear on “The Bachelor”, he had too many coaching gigs.
