 Open Rehearsals - Monday Evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
 

The Sounds of Pittsburgh Chorus enthusiastically invites women to join us at our Monday night rehearsals.  Physical and vocal warm-ups begin at 7:00 p.m., and the singing ends at 9:30 p.m. An exciting hobby, singing barbershop fills that creative niche for women who want to sing, dance, compete, wear fabulous costumes, and learn about stage make-up and show production.  Reading music isn't necessary as most learning is done by tapes.  Come see for yourself.

The Sounds of Pittsburgh Chorus provides many musical and personal growth opportunities for women.  You may ask what can the Sounds of Pittsburgh Chorus provide for you?

Well, let us share our “secret” recipe with you…start with the most basic ingredient: your love of singing! Blend in the chance to receive ongoing vocal instructions taught by our own music staff AND by specially trained coaches brought in to add an exciting dimension to our vocal and visual performance. Mix in the chance to experience seminars and retreats where even more music education is offered. Toss in the exciting opportunity to strut your stuff at our performances, competitions and chorus shows! The icing on the cake? You will make friendships and create memories to last a lifetime!

  • Who can join? Women singers – from age 16 up.
     

  • What should I expect on my first visit? You will be greeted by someone from our membership committee. One of our music staff members will take you to a separate room to help determine your voice part. You will then join us on the risers to look over our current music – and to sing along! The ability to read music is helpful, but not necessary.
