The Sounds of Pittsburgh chorus is
proud to present as its Master Director, Mr. Denny Price.
Denny has been an avid barbershopper
for over 28 years. He
has sung in many quartets and presently sings tenor with the Hot Air
Buffoons. In case you haven't guessed, it is a comedy quartet!
At the 2006 Barbershop Harmony Society International Competition
in Indianapolis, IN, the Buffoons
placed 16th out of 47 competitors from around the world! If you are interested in contacting the
Buffoons, you can
e-mail them.
Denny has been a member and director
of three men's choruses, and has directed three other Sweet Adeline
choruses.
Under Denny, Sounds of Pittsburgh has won the
regional Mid-Sized Chorus Award several times and competed in the International
Harmony Classic contest. The next chorus award Denny would love to add to
our list is Overall Regional Champion Chorus.
Denny and his wife, Margie, reside in
West Middlesex, PA. While Denny is directing, Margie is on the risers
singing baritone. They have three children and
several
grandchildren.
Denny says he is "absolutely thrilled" to be part of the Sounds
organization and is looking forward to a bright and exciting future!
We're thrilled to have him, too!!
